I am in the process of creating another new image, almost entirely from scratch. I am trying to gradually decrease the amount of use of references on my art and thus this piece only used a photo reference as inspiration for lineart and don't plan on using it afterwards. The Einstein picture was done by tracing the photo to derive some basic lineart and I believe I used the photo as a constant reference as I worked on it. Slow progression.

I spent all evening actually working on the background of this piece, largely due to the detail. It ought to make the lighting easier at the very least and I might wind up recycling it in the future. Gave me a chance to play with the textures and a few other features I hadn't touched to date.
